Visit Perpignan

 Perpignan is a commune in the south of France. It is a city with a population of over 100,000 people. The city is well-known for its medieval old town and its Festival International de l’Image en Pays Catalan which showcases short films from all over the world.

In 2004, Perpignan was awarded "The Green City" prize for its efforts in sustainable development.

It has been part of UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The city is famous for its medieval old town, with buildings dating back to the 12th century. It has many museums, art galleries and theatres.

It is known as "The Pink City" because it was built with pinkish terracotta bricks which are prevalent throughout the city centre.
